The Kiev judge who handed down a sentence to two members of the Ukrainian nationalist-terrorist C-14 organization who had set fire to the Monastery “of the Tithes” in Kiev has received threats from supporters of the terrorists, reports strana.ua.

The two men who had attacked the monastery on January 25 were sentenced to two months’ imprisonment or a fine of 2.2 million hryvnia ($77,000) on Saturday. The next morning after the announcement of the decision, regional judge Tatiana Levitskaya found threatening messages left on the windshield of her car.

According to the judge’s husband, a message was found under the wiper of her car, which was parked in front of her house, claiming the arrest of the two C-14 members was unprovoked. The reverse side of the note depicted a family consisting of a father, mother, and two children, which the judge Levitskaya sees as “a threat to her personally and her family, due to the carrying out of justice in Ukraine.”

The incident has been reported to the police. She also told officers that the harassers had followed her from the court to her home.

C-14 members also vandalized the monastery later the same day as the fire, cutting the metal structure around the Vladimiro-Olginskaya Church and posting false information about the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the door. Attacks on the monastery had been publicly encouraged at an anti-Orthodox press conference on Monday.

The nationalist criminals hate the Ukrainian Orthodox Church because it belongs to the Moscow Patriarchate.
