По предварительным данным следствия, 18 июня участники детского оздоровительного лагеря «Парк-Отель Сямозеро» на лодках попали в шторм. На трех лодках, которые перевернулись и затонули, находились 47 детей и четыре взрослых инструктора. В результате 14 детей погибли.
