Orthodox Churches throughout the world have donated much-needed medical equipment, protective masks and suits, coronavirus tests, and much more throughout the ongoing pandemic. Among them is the Belarusian Orthodox Church.

Accumulating all its forces to help medical institutions and doctors, the Belarusian Orthodox Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service, donated an oxygen concentrator to the Minsk City Oncology Clinic yesterday, on the feast of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, reports the press service of the Belarusian Church.

And in partnership with Burger King, the Department also gave more than 30 hot meals for the doctors who are treating pneumonia patients and who can’t leave the building.

Synodal Department Chairman Archpriest Kirill Sholkov noted that there are also plans to donate several ventilators to the cancer center’s ICU.

Additionally, volunteers from a Minsk parish together with medical students organized the sewing of reusable masks for doctors at the clinic.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine has also delivered a ventilator, protective suits, and a respirator to hospitals in Ukraine.
