The Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate passed resolutions concerning its foreign dioceses

The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, Moscow Patriarchate, in its meeting of March 22, 2011, after hearing the report by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the dioceses and parishes beyond Russia's borders, passed a number of resolutions concerning the diocese of Surouzh, and of Argentina and South America, as well as the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy and Ireland (minutes entry No. 32).

The newly established parish of the Meeting of the Lord in Bradford, Great Britain has been added to the Surouzh Diocese of the Moscow Patriarchate. The newly established parish of St. Matrona of Moscow in Lima, Peru has been added to the diocese of Argentina and South America of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The Synod also passed a number of resolutions concerning clergy in the Moscow Patriarchate parishes of Italy. The head of the Patriarch's personal secretariat Hieromonk Antony (Sevriuk) was appointed to serve as a member of the clergy of the St. Nicholas stravropegic parish in Rome.

Also in Italy: Archpriest Vladimir Kuchumov has been relieved of his duties as rector of the St. Nicholas metochion in Bari, and appointed rector of the St. Andrew Church in Naples, under Bishop Nestor of Korsun. Priest Andrei Boitsov has been relieved of his duties as rector of the St. Andrew Church in Naples, and appointed rector of the St. Nicholas metochion in Bari.

In Ireland: Archpriest Mikhail Gololev, a clergyman of the Surouzh diocese, has been relieved of his duties as rector of the Sts. Peter and Paul stavropegic parish in Dublin. The retired priest of Kostroma diocese Mikhail Nasonov has been appointed rector of the Sts. Peter and Paul parish in Dublin.
