Orthodox parish in Drogheda celebrates patronal feast

On 4 December 2011, the parish of the Entrance of the Holy Theotokos into the Temple in Drogheda, Ireland, celebrated by prayer its patronal feast. Rev. Nikolay Yevseyev, rector of the parish, officiated at the solemn Divine Service in St. Joseph’s Catholic church, which has been put without compensation at the parish’s disposal by the local community of the Roman Catholic Church.

After the service the believers made a pilgrimage to the site of the ancient Monasterboice monastery. A festival thanksgiving was said there, official website of the Patriarchal Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ireland reports.
