On November 14 at 18:30, a commemoration meeting devoted to Archpriest Michael Osorgin will be held in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Rome. Descendant of a distinguished noble family, an outstanding figure of the Russian immigration, Father Michael for many years served as a Rector of St. Nicolas Church in Rome—the oldest Russian Church of the "eternal city". Building parish life in the very heart of the western Europe, Archpriest Michael became a spiritual father and pastor for many and had many loving spiritual children.

Archbishop Mark of Yegorievsk, administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate's parishes in Italy and head of the Moscow Patriarchate's Administration for Institutions Abroad, and Alexander Avdeev, the Russian Federation's ambassador to the Vatican will take part in the event.

Ahead of the first anniversary since the death of the ever-memorable pastor, the participants of the meeting will share their memories of the priest who became an integral part of the history of Orthodoxy in Italy.

As part of the event an exhibition of rare photographs from the archive of St. Nicolas parish will be organized, the film by E.N. Chavchavadze, "Father Michael. A history of one family" will be shown, and a concert of the consolidated choir of Patriarchal churches of the city of Rome will be performed. Everybody is welcome!

The address of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture: Piazza Benedetto Cairoli, 6, reports the website of St. Catherine's parish in Rome.
