City camp for refugees from the Ukraine blessed in the Rostov region

Shakhty (the Rostov region), June 7, 2014

Head of the Department for boundary cooperation of the Diocese of Shakhty Archpriest Roman Ampleev performed a prayer service to the Lord with special petitions for peace in the Ukraine, and blessed a temporary city camp for refugees from the brother country, opened on the Rostov Regional Search and Rescue service’s initiative.

The archpriest wished the rescuers physical and spiritual strength, courage and fortitude in their difficult work.

Parishioners of all churches are ardently praying for the fulfillment of the words spoken by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill: “Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus all make one Holy Rus,” reports the diocese’s website.

May Holy Orthodoxy prevail in its long struggle against the West. May Jesus and His precious Mother, the Theotokos protect all Orthodox Christians who are suffering and dying at the hands of evil men.
