August 4, 2015

This most unusual Georgian wedding took place at 4000 meters above sea level. The amazing photos of it were published on a Facebook page called “Chven-tan davdivart da davekhetebit” (“We walk and wander too”) depicting a Georgian couple getting married at the Trinity Church, which is considered to be the highest situated Orthodox Christian church in the world.

The small church is situated in Kazbegi, the highland region of north-eastern Georgia. One of the photos also depicts the couple hugging each other near the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at the elevation of 2170 meters, at the foot of Mount Kazbegi.
