Russian Soldiers Will Learn Methods of Struggle Against Islamic Radicals and Sects

Moscow, August 26, 2015

Stations for working with believing servicemen have been set up at the Donguz range missile testing ground in the Ulyanovsk Region for the duration of a large-scale training in which about six thousand military personnel are participating, reported the press service and information administration of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Two stations for working with religious soldiers—Orthodox and Muslim—were set up at the Donguz range missile testing ground to maintain the high moral and psychological condition of the staff participating in large-scale, complex special training for groups of forces, and to foster spiritual and ideological opposition to the activities of international terrorist and Islamic extremist organizations and destructive religious sects," administrators said.

The stations are equipped for celebrating Divine services, and for carrying out spiritual and moral work with the staff. An Orthodox tent-church, informational stands, and a field bell tower have been set up at the missile testing ground.

Work with servicemen is also carried out, including field stations and tent-churches, in other ranges where complex special training is held.
