California: a cancelled wedding became a feast for the homeless

Sacramento, October 19, 2015

The wedding ceremony between Landon Borup and Quinn Duane was scheduled for Saturday at the splendid Citizen Hotel in Sacramento, California. But at the last minute the fiancé decided to call off the wedding and the holiday dinner was distributed among the army of destitute people.

As the fiancé unexpectedly refused to register his marriage, it was decided to cancel the lavish banquet designed for 120 persons. But since the fiancé and bride had paid for the festive dinner in one of the luxurious hotels of Sacramento beforehand, Quinn’s parents invited the homeless for the meal, reports Slavik Sacramento.

The jilted bride-to-be spent the day of the cancelled wedding alone in tears.

It is reported that this dinner has cost the couple’s families 135,000 US dollar.

Nevertheless, the homeless people, invited for the sumptuous banquet, were very happy. Around 100 indigent city residents along with families with many children came to the dinner.
