Hurricane Matthew has hit Haiti very hard. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Close to a 1000 have lost their lives. Members of our ROCOR mission in Haiti have suffered as well. While none have lost their lives, all have endured damage to their meager property and crops. Especially hard hit was our St. John of Shanghai parish in Les Cayes.

The parish of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco has suffered water damage, the floor is covered in several inches of water, and the property is covered in debris.

In Jacmel, fields are destroyed, farms animals are dead, several Orthodox families’ homes have been destroyed.

As you have probably heard, very little of the International Aid promised to Haiti after the earthquake of 2010 has reached Haiti.

Fund for Assistance has been working with the ROCOR mission in Haiti for many years. Reader Pierre from the St John of Shanghai and San Francisco parish in Les Cayes says: “Very little aid ever reaches Haiti’s most needy. You are our only hope.”

"Very little aid ever reaches Haiti’s most needy. You are our only hope.”

Please respond to this heartbreaking plea and donate generously today. As usual, 100% of your donation goes to the cause.

May the Lord always bless you for your generosity and kindness!
