Heads and representatives of local Orthodox Churches set off from Kiev to Minsk

On July 28, 2013, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the delegations of local Orthodox Churches, taking part in the celebrations dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of Baptism of Russia, have left for Minsk from Kiev by the special train that contains a coach-Church. The Cross of Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called that had been brought from Greece on the occasion of celebration of this momentous anniversary was moved to it from the Kiev Caves Lavra.

On the platform of the railway station in the city of Kiev the heads and representatives of local Churches were seen off to the train by His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All the Ukraine, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Ismail, Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol, the chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, hierarchs and clergy of the Ukrainian Church as well as the head of the administration of the president of the Ukraine S.V. Levochkin, reports the press service of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.

The direct online-transmission of the Divine Liturgy at the Minsk Zamchishe (ancient castle area) has taken place on July 29.
