An Orthodox priest has died in a fire that broke out at a convent in Krasnaya Gorka village of the Perm region in Russia. According to local sources, the fire destroyed a nonprofit refectory on the territory of the convent, reports TASS with reference to the official website of the Diocese of Solikamsk.
“According to preliminary information, Hieromonk Zosimas (Oboldin) has died in a fire that broke out on the territory of the Convent of the Kazan icon of the Theotokos and St. Tryphon in the Verkhnechusovskie Gorodki area on September 5, 2018,” states the report.
The report also notes that, excluding the refectory, the convent’s church and other important buildings were saved from the fire.
