Teodosije urges Serbian shrines' protection in KiM

Gracanica, April 12, 2012

Bishop of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija Teodosije called on the authorities in Kosovo Thursday to protect the Serbian shrines in the province.

Teodosije expressed concern over frequent attacks on church property in KiM, adding that the obligation of provincial authorities is to protect the shrines and the people.

There are extremists all around who do not want peace and who would like something to happen which would open a window of opportunity for their actions and some personal and selfish benefits they covet, he told KIM Radio.

In the presence of about 50 believers, Teodosije held a Saint Basil service in Gracanica Monastery on Holy Thursday.
Several incidents have occurred in KiM this and last month, the targets of which were buildings of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
