"As was reported earlier, the ruling Bishop of the Diocese of Simferopol and Crimea, in connection with the recent events, has more than once called upon all Crimea residents (regardless of their national identity and denomination) to keep peace and to prevent actions that might lead to religious or ethnic strife and discrimination," the statement reads.
The Diocese of Simferopol and Crimea considers that the false information, spread by so-called "Kiev Patriarchate's" representatives, disturbs the peace among the faithful and provokes violent actions against monasteries and churches of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
