Трудно нам, современным людям, потонувшим в расслабленности и плотских грехах, понять человека, который был послан Богом на великое служение, выполнил это служение, и ничто не могло воспротивиться ему в этом служении. В 1896 г. было построено московское чудо — китайский дом, украшенный башенками, дракончиками и китайскими фонариками. Прошли годы, и от чайной империи «придворного поставщика» остался лишь этот дом. Но память о Сергее Васильевиче Перлове (1836–1910) свято хранится и в Калужской области, в Шамординском монастыре.

Yes, when people become maddened by pride, when out of egotistical pride they lose their reason, they have no need of God, they have no need of God’s Truth. They declare themselves to be gods. They present their petty, shallow, false likeness of truth as the great and salvific Truth.
