Крест – не просто реликвия и удивительный художественный образ, который Господь сохранил для нас, да еще и в действующем храме, – он чудотворит. Неиссякаемый поток паломников к нему свидетельствует: сердцем русского человека востребован Крест.

В чем смысл христианского подвига? В какой мере следует нам повторять подвиги святых и надо ли к этому стремиться? Чем опасны формализм в подвижничестве и «подвиги не по разуму»? И как правильно нести подвиг христианской жизни?

Спекуляции на тему «рабов Божиих», христианской кротости и смирения широко распространены в Интернете. Рассмотрим, что же на самом деле христиане вкладывают в эти понятия и есть ли в них что-то обидное и унизительное.

Какая власть над судьбами людей! И не только у Пушкина, но и у Онегина, не только у Шекспира, но и у Гамлета – не только у автора, но и у персонажа: он вроде бы тень, вымысел – а тоже действует.

В основе всего – величайшая истина: бытие зависит от Бога. И если люди желают поддерживать бытие мира сего, свою собственную жизнь, жизнь всего рода человеческого, они должны во главу угла поставить свое общение с Богом.
