Церковь для нас средство или цель? Этот вопрос обращен к нам каждый день, каждую минуту нашей жизни, но мы, увы, не всегда решаемся честно себе на него ответить. А когда решаемся, смущенно разводим руками: ну что делать, ну средство, конечно, средство — нет у нас таких сил, чтобы цель в Церкви и во Христе видеть, чтобы именно к этой цели идти, а не к какой-то своей, малой, частной.

The hierarchs resolved to appoint His Eminence Archbishop Theophan of Kyzyl and Tuva as the ruling hierarch of the newly-established Korean Diocese of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia. He is the first bishop of the Orthodox Church worldwide of Korean ancestry.

The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church met yesterday at Danilov Monastery in Moscow under the chairmanship of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The bishops made a number of decisions on a wide range of issues.

Those who were not indifferent wrote that they were willing to help as far as possible. And they did—some brought bread, others brought meat, others decorated the café for the New Year and the Nativity of Christ and donated over 1,000 presents. It was a true miracle. We realized that we are not alone.
