Христос есть радость. Он есть жизнь. Он есть свет, свет истинный, который позволяет человеку радоваться, летать… желать, чтобы все были со Христом.

В детстве я прочитал очень много фантастики, но в памяти остались всего несколько сюжетов. История о людях, способных сопереживать и брать на себя чужую боль, — один из них.

Сегодня нам трудно представить, в каких тяжелых условиях трудились эти святые мужи и жены. Некромантия, прелюбодеяния, ненависть противников христианства, «готовых убивать и жечь», царили на этих землях.

Терпеливый человек упорно делает свою работу и держится того, что принял держаться, несмотря на все давление, которое на него оказывается.

Иеромонах Амвросий (в миру Спиридон Лазарис) почил 2 декабря 2006 года (по новому стилю) в возрасте 92 лет. Он был духовным отцом монастыря Богородицы Гавриотиссы в Дади и тысяч христиан из различных областей Греции. Отец Амвросий стал источником Христовой благодати для народа, являя собой одного из современных святых, украсивших Церковь, плод воплощения Христа. Церковь, в течение многих веков являющая миру святых, и по сей день продолжает свое дело.
