В благодатном постоянстве, неослабевающей верности Господу и заключается высота духовной жизни. А ее можно достичь лишь в том случае, если мы будем трезво оценивать состояние нашей души.

Кого мы не знаем, того не можем и любить. Поэтому дитя не может любить Бога, доколе не услышит о Нем и не узнает Его.

Во время крестного хода слепили прожекторами. И когда мы были еще детьми, то нас, детей, успокаивали тем, что этот яркий свет – это вспышка. Как будто делается фотография в Царство Небесное.

В разговорах о духовной жизни легче всего (но и бесплоднее всего) съезжать на тему любви. Мол, вы нам о каких-то непонятных догматах, терпении, воздержании… а ведь надо всего-то любить. Это крайне грубое, даже пошлое упрощение повсеместно принимается за истину.

Среди грехов, которые одолевают человека, есть один, на который мы обращаем мало внимания, хотя этот грех способен очень сильно изменить жизнь человека.

В эти дни мы вступаем на духовную стадию благословенного Великого Поста. Святой Великий Пост – это период молитвы, период покаяния, слез, преображения человека, период, возводящий его на новую ступень духовной жизни.

Действительно, когда мы теряем свободу, когда мы становимся игрушкой в руках стихии, образ Божий, непременно связанный с даром свободы человеку, помрачается.
